Fayez Tamba

A biography of Fayez Tamba

Fayez Tamba began his career as a hairstylist in 1975. He quickly earned a reputation for excellence as a leading stylist, competing in numerous competitions and winning many awards for his creativity in hair design between 1975 and 1983. His accomplishments in the field led him to preside as a judge over hairstyling competitions for several years.

Fayez has never been content to maintain the status quo. For years, he had a vision of operating a day spa. As a result of the solid reputation he had established as a stylist combined with determination, diligence, extensive research and complete dedication to his dream, in 1983 he opened Fayez Beauty Spa and introduced the day spa concept to the City of London and surrounding region.

At the time, this was a completely unique idea for this area, thereby presenting many challenges for Fayez. Clients were unfamiliar with the day spa concept and spa services. In addition, there was a lack of qualified estheticians and therapists to provide the types of services and treatments that Fayez wanted to offer his clientele.

Fayez remained totally committed to pioneering the day spa concept and maintained a fierce determination to educate the public on the benefits to be derived for both one's physical and mental well-being as a result of the relaxing and rejuvenating treatments available at a day spa. The popularity of the spa services offered at Fayez Beauty Spa increased so rapidly that it became apparent that his rented premises of 3500 square feet was no longer adequate and a larger facility would be required to better deliver these services to his valued clientele. At that time, Fayez Beauty Spa employed a staff of nine stylists and aestheticians.

In 1995, Fayez purchased the property which is the present location of Fayez Beauty Spa. The ensuing years have seen several dramatic expansions, resulting in the elegance and serenity of the Greco/Roman inspired retreat of over 8500 square feet. Fayez Beauty Spa has attained the undisputed reputation as London and area's premier day spa. He presently has a staff of 35 skilled hair stylists, aestheticians and therapists, each of whom has been carefully selected by Fayez personally because of their friendliness, knowledge and their commitment and devotion to provide complete personal attention and pampering. Fayez travels extensively and visits trade shows and spas throughout the world in his quest to provide his clientele the finest blend of traditional and innovative spa therapies. Fayez travels extensively and visits trade shows and spas throughout the world in his quest to provide his clientele with the finest blend of traditional and innovative spa therapies.

Fayez painstakingly oversees every aspect of the daily operations of the spa to guarantee that each client receives the ultimate spa experience. He ensures the highest standards of cleanliness and sterilization within the spa are adhered to, that the interior and exterior of the facility are well maintained, that the quality of food served in the dining room is fresh and pleasingly presented; however, his paramount concern is that each guest who visits his Spa should be made to feel welcome and respected as a guest and that their presence is important and valued.

Fayez Beauty Spa is a member of the prestigious Ontario Premier Spas and was voted as one of the top ten spas in Canada in 2003. Fayez has appeared in numerous newspaper, magazine and television programs and currently is featured weekly on Makeover Madness on the New PL television station.

Fayez has always maintained the importance of giving back to the community that has contributed to his success. Each year Fayez Beauty Spa is actively involved in numerous local charities in the London region. Fayez also regularly hosts barbecues and social events for his clientele and their spouses as an expression of appreciation for their continued patronage of his Spa.

Fayez is very proud of the role his initial contribution to the day spa concept played. He has diligently worked to take the concept to a higher level and is pleased to see the growth and success of the spa industry as it exists today.
